Mfg Eng Resource Planner III; Drive Systems Center

Responsibilities

• Under the general supervision of a supervisor or an employee of higher rank, administer effective allocation of manufacturing resources for process planning creation and maintenance.
• Manage BOM consumption and create Computer Aided Planning (CAP) routing and manufacturing items orders for manufacturing operations in Bell Business Systems.
• When a Manufacturing Computer Aided Design (MCAD) model exists, create and maintain manufacturing instructions (drawings & modeling).
• Have knowledge of shop production and processing operations.
• Work in accordance with management strategies, concepts, program and departmental processes and procedures using Bell Business Systems.
• May train one or more employees.
• Interrogate, analyze, comprehend, and interpret Engineering Drawings, Models, Bills of Materials, Technical Specifications, Quality Documents, Bell Process Framework, and departmental procedures as necessary to perform assigned work.
• Create and maintain proper work sequence documentation and CAP routings.
• Create manufacturing items orders/requests including NC programs, tools/fixtures, and gauges.
• Provide process planning support to manufacturing operations through production order maintenance, tool maintenance requests, and liaison functions.
• Maintain dimensional charts, manufacturing instructions (text‑based and 2D/3D), material‑operation diagrams and ply tables as required.
• Work knowledge of Loft, Engineering, Tooling, Manufacturing and Planning processes and procedures.
• Apply GD&T / Aerospace tolerances and support producibility assessments when requested.
• Maintain records and schedules of work assigned; meet cost control, schedule, and qualification requirements.
• Provide technical assistance to procurement and suppliers.
• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with internal and external customers.
• Apply extensive aircraft manufacturing knowledge and train, direct, instruct, and validate Production Engineering work.
• Attend required training and complete competency‑based testing to remain current with technological advancements.

• Two (2) years of college or two (2) years of experience in the aircraft industry, or completion of a related Bell apprenticeship program.
• Demonstrated capability to perform responsibilities related to GD&T / Aerospace tolerances.
• Experience in technical writing or use of technical writing in an aerospace/manufacturing environment.
• Computer proficiency in planning software, Microsoft Office Suite, ERP/MRP software, tool‑design repositories, and CAD software.
• Preferred: experience with manufacturing composite or metallic materials.
• Preferred: experience with machined parts.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
