Manufacturing ​/ Production Associate, Injection Molding

Responsibilities

• Support engineers in the design, modification, and improvement of products and processes.
• Identify and recommend improvements and preventive actions.
• Inspect, test, maintain, repair, and install equipment and systems.
• Monitor processes, estimate costs, perform calculations, and analyze data.
• Test new and modified products, processes, and systems.
• Work in a Toolroom environment to build and maintain molds for R&D molding rooms.
• Set up and use machining equipment, including EDM sinker & wire and vertical machining centers.
• Assist molding and process engineers with debugging molds.
• Operate Mastercam software for mold related tasks.
• Measure mold critical dimensions, troubleshoot mold or tool setup issues.
• Help establish new SOPs and update existing SOPs for the mold and tool department.
• Provide training to other departments or team members as needed.
• Complete or assist with technical improvement projects and activities to upgrade processes for better plastic mold part and lens quality.
• Assist in installation, startup, and validation of injection molding or tooling equipment and systems.
• Advise on and improve maintenance systems (preventative, corrective, predictive, and spare parts).
• Resolve low‑yield and defect issues related to molds, inserts, and tool plates.
• Perform mold and insert inspections and measurements, including microscope use, and conduct tool plate setup and cleaning.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams across the manufacturing facility.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Fluency in reading, writing, understanding, and communicating in English.
• Three (3) years of relevant experience (preferred).
• Experience with EDM machines (preferred).
