About the role:

The Material Handler - Picker is responsible for safely loading, unloading, and moving materials within or near the district, service center, yard, or work site.
 Additional Information:
 Relocation or sponsorship assistance is NOT available for this position.
 Starting Pay: $19.85, additional based on experience

Schedule:

Monday – Friday 2:30 PM CST - 11:00 PM CST
 Overtime based on business need

What you will do:

Unload, stock and inventory all deliveries
 Assist with new orders, cycle counts and RFID operations
 Read and understand SOPs and Risk Assessments
 Ability to understand Inventory Control Process
 Exhibits equipment and product understanding
 Ability to read work orders and follow verbal instruction
 Counts, weighs, secures, tags, palettize and stacks materials and maintains accurate records of material movement
 Maintains work area, machines, and equipment
 Operates and inspects industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products
 Assists in developing a culture that works to achieve and maintain an accident-free workplace
 Performs other job duties as assigned
 What

You Will Have:

Minimum of one years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
 Must be able to become forklift certified within 30 days
 Must be able to effectively operate hand-held scanner (inventory transaction device) within 30 days
 Ability to use identification tools (engraver, metal stamps, paint pen) to mark product
 Ability to read and interpret dimensional drawings

Additional Requirements:

Currently working at the Northlink location in the shipping department
 Physical Demands:
 Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear
 Required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
 Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
 Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
 Must be able to wear protective footwear and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the department
 Work Environment:
 Regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles
 Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions
 Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places and vibration
 Noise Level: Moderate
 Summary Pay Range:
 $19.85 - $26.55
