Assembler II
Automation Personnel Services is looking for an Assembler II for a company based in Fort Worth, TX. Pay Rate
DOE Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Assembler II Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical and electronic assembly of components and subassemblies according to work instructions, schematics, and drawings.
- Execute hand soldering operations, including through-hole and surface-mount soldering, following workmanship standards.
- Use hand tools, power tools, soldering irons, and measuring equipment safely and effectively.
- Read and interpret assembly prints, bills of materials (BOMs), and routing instructions.
- Inspect assemblies for quality, defects, and proper workmanship; perform adjustments or rework as needed.
- Identify and report nonconforming materials, components, or processes to supervisors or quality personnel.
- Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.
- Meet established production schedules while maintaining quality standards.
- Follow all safety, ESD, quality, and manufacturing procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist in training and supporting entry-level assemblers when needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of two years of manufacturing assembly experience.
- Previous soldering experience with electronic or electrical components.
- Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions, drawings, and schematics.
- Proficiency using hand tools and soldering equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to maintain quality management system standards and customer requirements.
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift up to 25–50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Visual acuity sufficient for detailed assembly and soldering work.
- Intermediate mechanical and technical aptitude.
- Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong time-management skills and commitment to workplace safety.
