Senior Tig Welder

Job Description

We are seeking experienced TIG Welders to join our small team. The ideal candidate will have 5-35 years experience in TIG welding and fabrication. This role requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a non-air-conditioned manufacturing shop environment. The TIG Welder will be responsible for assembling and welding stainless steel heat exchangers, ensuring high-quality standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Perform high frequency TIG welding on stainless steel sheets, tubes, pipes
• Interpret blueprints, understand weld callouts and effectively weld according to prescribed weld size
• Utilize hand tools and equipment effectively for cutting, shaping, and joining materials
• Inspect welds for quality and integrity using calipers and other measuring tools
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times
• Work 6:00am-2:30pm Mon-Fri and occasional Saturdays

Requirements

• 5 years minimum experience in TIG welding (We are not looking for recent weld school students and will not hire less than 5 years job history in TIG welding)
• Proficient in basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to welding tasks
• Ability to use hand tools effectively in manufacturing setting
• Strong attention to detail with the capability to follow technical drawings and specifications
• Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor tasks, including lifting heavy materials when necessary
• The job interview process will include a weld test of TIG on stainless steel
