Cargill is seeking a Sanitation Lead for our Food & Beverage Operations, Sanitation Management department. This role oversees plant sanitation programs to ensure food safety, regulatory compliance, and audit-readiness. You will lead and train sanitation crews, schedule and verify cleaning, maintain SSOPs, conduct inspections, and coordinate with production, quality, and maintenance teams. The Sanitation Lead drives continuous improvement in hygiene, chemical usage, and allergen control while modeling Cargill's culture of integrity, safety, inclusion, and innovation to support sustainable, high-quality food production.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily sanitation operations in a food production facility
- Develop, maintain, and update SSOPs and sanitation schedules
- Train, coach, and supervise sanitation team members
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, and regulatory requirements
- Conduct pre-op and post-op inspections and address non-conformances
- Coordinate with production, quality, and maintenance on cleaning needs
- Monitor chemical usage, safety practices, and PPE compliance
- Support internal and external audits and implement corrective actions
- Drive continuous improvement in hygiene, allergen control, and waste reduction
- Maintain accurate sanitation records and reports
