Position SummaryThe overall role of the Bottling Operator is to perform the physical duties related to packaging products for Smooth Ambler Spirits (SAS). The Bottling Operator works within the bottling team to ensure products are packaged in a timely manner, with regards to quality, appearance, and safety.
The hourly range for this role is $16.75 to $21.00 per hour.
Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities- Safely and efficiently operate one or more of the following machines or combination of machines: depalletizer, unloader, cleaner, filler, capper, labeler, lot coder, case packer, case coder, palletizer.
- Tag and report all equipment defects on machinery and assist with repairs as needed.
- Cap making, specialized TX Whiskey leather top caps.
- Perform changeovers as required for each piece of machinery.
- Ensure machine functions correctly at budgeted efficiency once changeover is complete.
- Perform on-line quality checks as specified in work instructions.
- Observe good manufacturing practices, good housekeeping and follow all safety rules as required.
- Wear all safety equipment, like eye protection, ear protection, and safety shoes, bump caps, etc as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
- No prior experience required.
- Manufacturing, assembly, and/or mechanical experience preferred.
- Physical/Skilled Labor:
Work is performed in a general production area and/or office environment with regular demands for moving, lifting/carrying/lowering up to 50 pounds, standing, walking, climbing, and pushing. Normal visual, hearing and language acuity required for correspondence and computer usage.
