Industrial Control Panel Production Fabricator must be able to interpret blueprints and follow work order instructions resulting in accurate assembly of components such as PLC's, HMI's, controllers, sensors, pumps, PVC pipe assemblies, etc. PLC assembly and/or wiring experience desired with UL508 Industrial Control Equipment knowledge (24
VDC, 120
VAC, 240
VAC, motor controls). Involves extensive attention to detail, the importance of quality, and the ability to safely use hand tools, measuring equipment and PVC bonding products.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a mechanical, electrical, and technical mindset to apply their skills while working in a dedicated and supportive team environment. Although not all inclusive, some additional job responsibilities will include:
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, P&IDs and wiring diagrams.
- Assemble and wire electrical panels and enclosures using hand and power tools.
- Configure industrial networking devices, modems, Ethernet switches, and remote communications.
- Mount and connect components such as relays, circuit breakers, terminals, and PLCs.
- Perform mechanical work including cutting, drilling, and tapping.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure panels meet safety and performance standards before shipment.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve build issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety standards.
- Able to work overtime as required to meet customer requirements and business needs.
- Physically able to stand, sit, bend, twist for extended periods of time and safely lift up to 50 lbs.
Other helpful skills and qualifications include:
- Familiarity and knowledge of ISO
9001 standards, Lean manufacturing, and Kanban initiatives. - Ability to comprehend, speak, read and write basic English to interpret and follow technical manuals, instructions, and/or blueprints.
- Direct experience with or working knowledge of plumbing, welding, automotive, electrical, or mechanical operations.
- Verbal communication skills with the ability to follow and provide directions effectively.
- Wear appropriate PPE as required by Company and OSHA standards.
- Demonstrate a positive work ethic and a sense of urgency in completing work assignments; maintaining a proactive "can do" approach to all responsibilities.
