The selected candidate will initially train on day shift before transitioning to swing shift when it begins in mid-September.

About the Role

The Production Supervisor - SMT/DIP Operations will manage daily production activities across Surface Mount Technology (SMT), Dual In-line Package (DIP), and related manufacturing areas. This role is responsible for meeting production goals, maintaining quality standards, supporting team performance, and driving continuous improvement across assigned production lines.

Key Responsibilities Production Oversight
  • Supervise SMT, DIP, and/or Material Preparation Area (MPA) operations, including setup, run, and shutdown activities.
  • Monitor production schedules to ensure timely completion of work orders.
  • Manage WIP quantities and aging to stay within targets.
  • Collaborate with planning and engineering teams to address material or process issues promptly.
Team Leadership
  • Lead, coach, and motivate production staff to achieve daily performance goals.
  • Ensure all operators and team leaders are properly trained on equipment, processes, and safety procedures.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
  • Lead departmental M360 dialogue meetings to drive communication and performance alignment.
Process & Equipment Management
  • Ensure production line readiness through coordination with support departments (PMC, PSE, QA, PME, TC, etc.).
  • Escalate issues affecting efficiency, quality, or productivity in a timely manner.
Quality & Compliance
  • Enforce adherence to quality standards, including IPC-A-610 and ISO requirements.
  • Monitor real-time quality yield data and elevate issues as needed.
  • Ensure full traceability and documentation compliance across production lines.
Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve process flow.
  • Participate actively in Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen initiatives.
  • Analyze production data to identify root causes of recurring issues and drive corrective actions.
Safety & 5S
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Promote adherence to all safety guidelines and 6S principles.
  • Promptly address and document safety concerns.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of SMT, DIP, and MPA processes and equipment.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Six Sigma certification is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
