About the Position

The Flytrex team is seeking driven individuals to join our Production Manufacturing operations in Pilot Point, TX. As an Assembly Technician, you will perform assembly tasks, testing, conformity evaluations, and quality control procedures for the production of the Flytrex Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS). In this role, you will execute commercial manufacturing functions in alignment with aircraft conformity and configuration requirements, in coordination with the supply chain team at our Israeli (IL) Headquarters.

Additionally, you will ensure that production and quality management systems adhere strictly to approved design specifications.

Essential Functions of this Position

  • Collect and verify technical data to perform root-cause analysis on routine operational issues
  • Support supplier quality selection and evaluate supplier processes to ensure compliance with program requirements
  • Assist with hardware, software, and system-level audits to verify compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) standards, configuration assurance, regulatory guidelines, and customer specifications
  • Perform final adjustments, alignments, and calibrations to ensure complete adherence to quality standards and technical specifications
  • Safely operate hand and power tools—including routers, drills, and die grinders—to execute operations outlined in work instructions
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments, such as scales, micrometers, calipers, and depth gauges
  • Handle, mix, and apply specialized epoxy resins and bonding systems
  • Maintain and operate client- and company-supplied tooling in proper working order
  • Follow engineering documentation precisely and complete work orders accurately
  • Perform sub-assembly and component assembly operations, including structural bonding and riveting
  • Interpret and apply engineering drawings, trim and finish schematics, work orders, and technical instructions to assemble components efficiently
  • Set up and operate fixtures, jigs, and testing equipment for sub-assembly fabrication
  • Assemble, fit, and align metallic, carbon fiber, and composite details onto integrated structures
  • Conduct comprehensive checks and final functional validations on assembled systems
  • Perform adjustments and repairs through forming, trimming, deburring, reaming, testing, cleaning, and aligning parts as needed
  • Document audit findings and inspection results in standardized report formats
  • Verify product conformance against baseline design requirements
  • Provide clear, objective documentation of quality testing results
  • Conduct ongoing quality surveillance, auditing, and process monitoring
  • Identify, report, and document technical discrepancies
  • Segregate and manage non-conforming parts and materials
  • Perform preliminary reviews and disposition evaluations for non-conforming items
  • Identify recurring or critical non-conformances and initiate Corrective Action Requests (CARs)
  • Conduct all operations in compliance with applicable aviation regulations and Flytrex corporate policies
  • Drive continuous process improvement across all manufacturing operations
  • Operate safely within an indoor manufacturing facility utilizing calibrated tooling and industrial machinery
  • Participate in team meetings, technical briefings, and training sessions, maintaining flexibility regarding work schedules and shift assignments
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
