Position Summary
The Material Handler supports Arch-Fab's stock and materials storage operations, maintaining inventory accuracy, preparing and securing finished product for shipment, and operating forklifts and pallet jacks to move materials safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Willingness/Ability to obtain a forklift certification.
- Contributes to the orderly operation of the stock and/or materials storage area.
- Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory, and reporting shortages.
- Documents materials and records units delivered and location of units.
- Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.
- Maintains material‑handling equipment by completing pre‑use inspections.
- Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move items onto and off trucks and trailers.
- Keeps inventory, loading areas, and equipment clean.
- Learns and adheres to workplace safety regulations.
- Learns and adheres to standard quality processes and procedures.
