Position Summary
To drive sales and community awareness of Mr Gatti’s via grassroots marketing and community involvement in select markets.
Essential Functions- Responsible for executing various store marketing and sales projects as directed by the SVP Ops or CMO with minimal supervision.
- Responsible for all aspects of field sales projects from inception to execution.
- Responsible for directly/ indirectly driving customer traffic both in-store and delivery.
- Coordinates with non-profit organizations and local business in regards to planning, programming, or community outreach.
- Solicits group sales and catering orders.
- Harvests local store marketing opportunities to drive brand awareness and sales.
- Differentiates opportunities for the business based on importance of organization, possible sales structure and distance from store location.
- Strong sales mentality and growth mindset.
- Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Marketing, Business Communication, Hospitality Management or Sales.
- Must be able to understand general advertising/marketing concepts and principles with reference to restaurant involvement.
- Strong personal engagement and ability to build relationships.
- Specific knowledge and/or understanding of education system and non-profit organizations is a plus.
- The ability to balance the needs of the organization as directed by the SVP Ops or CMO and the perceived needs of the restaurant from the Operations team.
- Ability to multi-task, be detailed oriented, organized and have follow through with little guidance or supervision.
- Ability to direct and execute store-based marketing events both in the restaurant and offsite while balancing the needs of the community partner.
- Experience working with/as a field marketing/promotions agent or in sales for any media outlet or restaurant/entertainment facility.
- Hospitality or restaurant based experience a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal skills required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint & Outlook) is required.
- Ability to travel to restaurants.
There’s recurring interaction with most individuals employed by Mr Gatti’s and they are essential.
Communication with other individuals are described below.
SVP Ops or CMO –
Essential approvals on advertising campaign;
Regular updates on marketing initiatives
Vice President of Marketing –
recurring feedback on projects that effect the creative department
Social Media Specialist – provide timely updates and photos for posting on social media pages.
Store Manager –
Essential – to work as a team to ensure that marketing and execution matches
External contact is primarily with Organizations (schools, sports, church), printvendors, city organizations and local stores.
