Marketing Manager:
Events & Community Engagement
Do you thrive on building customer relationships, creating community, and engineering high-impact experiences? Then you might be the Marketing Manager, Events & Community Engagement
, that AvSight is looking for. In this role you will be the architect of our physical and community presence. Following a record-breaking 2025, we are looking for a strategic, detail-oriented marketer to own our event strategy from "booth to bank."
This isn’t just about ordering swag and booking hotels. You will be responsible for driving growth in our event-generated pipeline, overseeing our legendary User Group Summit, and serving as the face of AvSight in the South Florida aviation hub.
This job is primarily remote, but requires regular networking and event attendance in the Miami-Ft. Lauderdale area. Only local candidates will be considered.
What You’ll Do 1. Strategic Event Management & Logistics- End-to-End Execution: Own the full lifecycle of trade shows (e.g., MRO Americas, ACPC, NBAA). Manage booth design, storage, shipping, and on‑site setup.
- The "Travel Desk": Coordinate room blocks, staff schedules, and logistics to ensure the team is positioned for success.
- Budgeting: Manage the tradeshow and event budget, ensuring maximum impact for every dollar spent.
- The Pre-Game: Work with our content and web teams to plan and execute multi‑channel promotional campaigns (email, social teasers, and ads) to drive booth traffic and pre‑scheduled meetings.
- Engagement Magnets: Design unique on‑site experiences, social media contests, and "must-have" swag that makes the competition look like amateurs.
- Sales Alignment: Collaborate with Sales (Net New and Professional Services) to create outreach campaigns and messaging that convert handshakes into opportunities.
- User Group Summit: Lead the User Group Summit. With support from the team, you will own everything from venue negotiation and A/V coordination to managing the advisory group and content process.
- Florida Hub Presence: Act as our boots‑on‑the‑ground representative in South Florida. Attend local networking events (FAN, GMAA, etc.) to grow our MRO market share.
- Feedback Loop: Compile attendee and staff feedback to ensure our community feels heard and our events get better every year.
- The Pipeline: Track and report on key KPIs: cards collected, meetings booked, opportunities progressed, and final event‑based ARR.
- Strategic Growth: Analyze post‑event data to identify which shows to double down on and which to pivot from.
- The Aviation Insider: You likely have experience in the aviation industry and understand the specific needs of the MRO and parts market.
- Detail Focused: You are obsessed with the small things (like A/V checklists) but never lose sight of the big things (like pipeline goals).
- A Connector: You love being "in the weeds" at an event, making connections, and representing the brand with high energy.
- Growth‑Minded: You don’t just want to "run an event"; you want to see the direct correlation between your work and the company’s revenue growth.
- 5+ years of experience in Marketing, preferably in Field Marketing or Event Management.
- Proven track record of managing large‑scale B2B events or User Groups.
- Based in South Florida with the ability to travel to major industry trade shows.
- Strong project management skills (experience with tools like Hub Spot, Jira, and Salesforce is a plus).
- Ability to negotiate vendor contracts and manage complex budgets.
- Mid‑Senior level
- Full‑time
