Specialist​/Sr Specialist, Communications

American Airlines seeks a Communications Specialist/Sr Specialist to craft clear, engaging messaging that supports our global airline operations. In this role, you will plan and execute internal and external communication campaigns, write and edit content for employees and leaders, and manage messaging across email, intranet, and digital channels. You'll partner closely with leadership, HR, and operations to support change initiatives, safety and service programs, and brand reputation.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute internal and external communications campaigns supporting airline initiatives
• Write and edit announcements, talking points, intranet content, and executive messages
• Partner with leadership, HR, and operations to align messages with brand and culture
• Manage content for digital channels, including email, intranet, and social platforms
• Coordinate communications for change management, safety, and customer-focused programs
• Measure communication effectiveness and report on key metrics
• Ensure consistency with brand voice, tone, and regulatory guidelines
• Support media, crisis, and issues communications as needed
