Role's Mission:
The Thrive Ministry Coordinator will provide leadership, care, and oversight to the leaders involved in the Thrive ministry at Christ Chapel. This includes recruiting and equipping volunteers, supporting Mentors, Group Leaders, and Coaches, and shaping the spiritual and relational environment for weekly gatherings. They will also contribute to some content development that support the heart-change goals of the ministry and the direction set by their supervisor.

Christ Chapel's Mission: "To stretch every involved person from the threshold of their spiritual pilgrimage toward becoming a fully-developing follower of Christ." (Col 1:28-29).

Role’s Reporting Relationship:
This position reports to the Associate Care Minister.

Role Details

Part-time | Non-Exempt | Hourly | 10 hours per week

Qualifications – Role’s Requirements Character
  • Must be a Christian
  • A maturing believer who is obviously, consistently and increasingly manifesting the fruit of the Spirit in their daily walk with Christ (Galatians 5:22-23)
  • Living an "above reproach" lifestyle as outlined in the Christ Chapel Employee Handbook
  • Embrace Christ Chapel's doctrinal position and constitution without reservation and be an advocate of our philosophy of ministry
  • Represent Christ Chapel well on and off campus with consideration to social media and interaction with the community
  • Faithful, available, teachable, and a joy to supervise (Hebrews 13:17)

Spiritual Gifts (Rom 12; 1 Cor 12; Eph 4; 1 Pet
4)
  • The ideal candidate has spiritual gifts of discernment, exhortation, shepherding/ministering.
  • Secondarily, the spiritual gifts of hospitality, service and administration would be helpful in the carrying out of the above in an organized way and on a larger scale.

  • This role functions as part of the Soul Care team and interacts regularly with volunteer leaders, fellow staff, and participants. The ideal candidate will contribute to a collaborative, Christ-centered team culture by being:

Role’s Preferences Education
  • A Bible college degree or some seminary training is preferred.
  • Coursework toward a degree in, or significant biblical counseling training is required
Experience/Philosophy
  • At least 3 years of experience in a ministry or leadership role involving small groups, mentoring, or counseling.
  • Experience recruiting and training volunteers.
  • Experience providing spiritual care or crisis support to women.
  • Familiarity with the philosophy of heart transformation through Scripture-based counseling and discipleship.
Abilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to lead in both one-on-one and group contexts.
  • Skilled in time management and task prioritization within a flexible part-time role.
