Job Summary

The primary functions of the Survivor Advocacy Program Director are to provide leadership & oversight for Unbound Now’s Survivor Advocacy Program across all Texas and Louisiana working in partnership with Regional Directors (RDs) and Director of Survivor Advocacy (DSAs) to ensure compliance with Unbound Now policies & procedures, effective training for advocacy staff & volunteers including in the area of wellness and self-care, & excellence in service delivery;

develop and maintain strong relationships with statewide partners; support development of survivor advocacy services in new areas; ensure timely & accurate programmatic reporting for grants & other purposes; serve as the administrator for the Survivor Advocacy Program on Unbound Now’s case management system; & present on Unbound Now’s Survivor Advocacy Program and services as needed.

Availability

Generally, Monday through Friday 8:30-5:00. Weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed. Anticipated 45- 50-hour workweek.

Travel

This position requires significant travel among Unbound Now offices. This position requires frequent travel within the area for partner meetings, training, and team/professional development opportunities, as well as occasional travel outside the service area for training purposes.

Working Conditions

Some work is performed in a normal office environment, a service-provider environment, or another professional environment. Some work within the community, in high-vulnerability locations.

Job Responsibilities
  • Maintain a strong line of communication with the Chief Program Officer (CPO) regarding any issues related to Unbound Now’s Survivor Advocacy Program.
  • Facilitate and lead periodic gatherings of all Unbound Now survivor advocacy staff, in partnership with each Regional Director (RD) and Director of Survivor Advocacy (DSA) of each location.
  • Present on Unbound Now’s survivor advocacy services as requested.
  • Visit all Unbound Now survivor advocacy service areas periodically to provide leadership and support, and build relationships with RDs and DSAs and their advocacy teams
  • Serve as the administrator for the Survivor Advocacy Program on Unbound Now’s case management system, adding and subtracting survivor advocacy users as needed and coordinating with RDs and DSAs to ensure needed updates are made promptly, and reports continue to run smoothly and are updated as needed based on changes to the software or funding sources
  • Ensure implementation and monitor compliance with Unbound Now policies and procedures, DCFS and DFPS‑specific requirements, and Louisiana and Texas OOG CSTT Minimum Standards for CSEY Advocacy.
  • Review, revise, and develop new advocacy‑related policies and procedures in coordination with the CPO and RDs and DSAs
