Role Description The Major Gifts Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Fort Worth, TX, responsible for developing and managing relationships with individual donors and other key supporters to grow philanthropic revenue. This role leads the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of major donors, including creating customized engagement strategies and gift proposals aligned with organizational priorities. The Major Gifts Manager plans and executes major and annual giving campaigns, collaborates with program and communications staff to develop compelling cases for support, and maintains accurate donor records and pipelines in the CRM system.

Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting prospect research, meeting with current and potential donors, preparing reports and presentations, coordinating recognition activities, and supporting planned giving conversations as needed. The role requires close collaboration with the development team and leadership to meet fundraising goals and strengthen long-term donor relationships.

Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience working with Major Donors and managing Major Gifts portfolios, including cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
  • Knowledge of Planned Giving vehicles and the ability to support donors in exploring legacy and deferred giving opportunities.
  • Proven success in Annual Giving strategies, campaign management, and donor engagement across giving levels.
  • Strong Prospect Research skills, including identifying, qualifying, and prioritizing donor prospects using data and research tools.
  • Excellent relationship-building, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders and articulate a compelling case for support.
  • Experience using donor databases/CRM systems, data tracking, and basic reporting to manage pipelines and measure results.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to meet fundraising targets and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (such as nonprofit management, communications, business, or similar) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prior fundraising or development experience in a nonprofit or social services setting is strongly preferred.
