Children's Minister

Fort Worth, Texas | Full-Time Ministry Position

Glenview Baptist Church is trusting God to lead the right person to us—an outgoing, friendly, energetic, and experienced Children's Minister who loves the Lord, has a clear calling to children's ministry, and is passionate about discipling children and equipping families through gospel-centered, full-time ministry.

The person God has chosen will exhibit the following character traits and gifts:

• 1. Christ-centered and grounded in foundational Christian beliefs. Loves God wholeheartedly and is willing and able to share that saving faith with others and train volunteers to do the same.
• 2. Loves kids and families. Genuinely enjoys children, understands their special place in the Father's heart, and embraces the challenges of discipling them and supporting parents in discipling their children at home.
• 3. Engaging teacher. Able to lead engaging teaching and foster an environment where kids grow in their understanding of who God is and the future He has for them.
• 4. Committed to God's Word. Able and committed to teaching God's Word clearly and effectively to kids of every age.
• 5. Strong leader. Able to communicate God's vision for ministry with kids, families, and volunteers and delegate effectively.
• 6. Volunteer builder. Gifted in engaging the church body to support spiritual and numerical growth by recruiting, training, and developing volunteers.
• 7. Firm in biblical truth. Has the fortitude to stand firm for the truth of the Gospel in a society that does not always value godliness or the truth of Scripture.
• 8. Organized. Develops and maintains healthy organizational systems for the Children's Ministry.

• 1. Clear testimony of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ alone and affirmation of this new life through baptism by immersion. A growing and evident relationship with Jesus Christ.
• 2. A defined and clear calling by God to Children's Ministry.
• 3. Agreement with Glenview Baptist Church's beliefs, mission, and ministry, as well as the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.
• 4. Bachelor's degree preferred. Exceptions will be considered for an applicant with significant recent, relevant ministry experience.
• 5. Ability to supervise ministry leaders and volunteers and work collaboratively with church staff.
• 6. Physical ability to perform the essential functions of the position. The role routinely requires lifting and carrying significant weight.
