Work hours:
PRNDays 7:00 am - 7:00 pm - Rotating Weekends and Holidays
- Self-Scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth
- Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team
- Provides Leadership and clinical expertise to support the Neuro Tele unit (30 bed unit). Neuro Tele Department provides care to a wide variety of Neuro Tele patients with diagnosis such as Stroke, Seizures, Parkinson, MS, Medical overflow and Telemetry. This unit has had many DFW Great 100 Nurses and is known for their teamwork.
- Associate Degree in Nursing; BSN preferred
- Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire required
- BCLS - prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
- ACLS within 90 days of hire
- CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training - within 90 days of hire
- NIHSS within 6 months required
- 1-year experience as a clinical nurse in an acute care setting required
- 2-years experience as a clinical nurse in an Acute care setting and Neuro Tele preferred.
- will communicate and collaborate with all members of the health care team
- support and actively participate in shared governance/councils
- committed to developing their individual knowledge and skills, as well as advancing the profession of nursing and engaging in lifelong learning/development.
- evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
- directly assists leadership on a particular unit or units and shift, by offering staff guidance and support, maintaining a clean and safe work environment and ensuring unit operational tasks are completed.
