Provide care for patients utilizing fetal and maternal monitoring equipment. Manage the patient's pain including epidural and patient controlled analgesia administration. Assist physician during delivery, treatment, examination and surgical procedures. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems. Provide patient and family education on labor, pain and newborn care.

We are a Level IV Maternity Care Center that delivers 500+ babies per month. We take care of a variety of obstetrical complications. We continually educate and train our staff through simulation to ensure that we are prepared to take care of the sickest maternal patients. We are constantly evaluating our processes to ensure that we are providing evidenced based care to our patient population.

We are extremely team oriented and are truly a "work family". We have a strong Unit-Based Council that works closely with unit leadership to improve areas of focus on our unit. Andrew's Women's Hospital offers a variety of labor and delivery services, including maternity, high-risk pregnancy care, a level III neonatal intensive care unit among others. Our 63 - bed neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) is designed to care for the tiniest infants dealing with the most serious medical challenges. It is one of the largest NICUs in North Texas with a highly skilled team of neonatologists on our medical staff, neonatal nurse practitioners, respiratory and occupational therapists, dietitians, pharmacists, social workers, chaplains, and registered nurses working together to care you your whole family.
