Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner Opening – Fort Worth, Texas
Texas Health Physicians Group is pleased to announce a full‑time opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner Hospitalist in Fort Worth, TX. Working closely with a successful team of hospitalists, you will evaluate, diagnose, and treat a variety of patients.
Position Details- Assist hospitalists with inpatient evaluations, H & P and follow‑up visits.
- Initiate appropriate treatment and testing for medical illnesses.
- Complete history and physical examinations on all new admissions.
- Round on rehabilitation patients, including long‑term acute care patients.
- Document patient information using the EMR system.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement processes.
- Enjoy working a swing shift 12:00 pm‑12:00 am.
- Strong active listening, critical thinking, reading comprehension, effective communication, time management, judgment, and decision‑making skills.
- Licensed Acute Care Nurse Practitioner in Texas.
- ACLS certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of NP or RN experience in ICU/CVICU.
- Graduate of an accredited advanced nursing program and current RN license in Texas.
The Nurse Practitioner will report to the supervising physician and/or the Medical Director and be responsible for meeting CME requirements to maintain certification and licensure.
The NP’s duties and responsibilities apply to the THPG patient population and assigned setting only.
