Registered Nurse, Level III NICU
Location:
Fort Worth, near downtown.
Full Time Nights – 7pm‑7am
Patient PopulationMicro preemies to full‑term infants (22 weeks to term gestation)
Patient Ratios & Beds- Patient ratios: 1:1‑3
- Number of beds: 63
- Conduct detailed clinical assessments and prioritize patient and family needs. Create, implement, and evaluate care plans adjusted to achieve desired outcomes.
- Build relationships, manage discomfort, and maintain professionalism in therapeutic connections with patients and families.
- Create care plans reflecting values and aid in resolving issues.
- Educate patients, families, nurses, and community members; empower them with knowledge for better healthcare choices. Assess and document learning needs regularly.
- Work with colleagues and community to create a care plan. Delegate tasks carefully and follow up promptly.
- Use strategies for problem solving with patients, families, and staff. Recognize limitations and prioritize safety, effectiveness, and efficiency in patient care planning and delivery.
- Achieve goals through teamwork, recognize contributions, commit to growth, and contribute to peers' development and community service commitment.
- Deep understanding of nursing and patient care standards and procedures.
- Knowledge of nursing laws, rules, standards, and guidelines in the area.
- Proficiency in medical terms, focusing on health, disease prevention, management, common medications, and side effects.
- Respect for medical and professional nursing ethics and patient privacy rights.
- Exceptional communication skills, clear expression of thoughts verbally and in writing.
- Positive social skills to facilitate interactions with a diverse range of parties.
- Excellent problem‑solving capabilities, driving effective critical thinking.
- Basic computer skills:
Microsoft Office, information security, scheduling and payroll systems, electronic medical documentation, email.
- Graduate of an accredited program.
- Minimum 2 years of Level III NICU experience.
- RN license.
- BLS certification required or obtained within 30 days of starting.
- Immediate eligibility for health and welfare benefits.
