As an LVN, you'll play a vital role in supporting psychiatric providers and ensuring exceptional patient care.
Clinical Responsibilities- Administer long-acting injectable psychiatric medications
- Reconcile and review patient medications
- Assist providers with patient care and treatment coordination
- Monitor patient needs and communicate concerns appropriately
- Support medication management activities
- Obtain insurance prior authorizations
- Coordinate prescription requests and refill processing
- Follow up on medical record requests
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and records
- Communicate with pharmacies, insurance providers, and healthcare partners
- Assist with scheduling and patient follow-up activities
Required Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Texas LVN license
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant nursing experience
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Basic computer proficiency and electronic documentation skills
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality
- Behavioral Health or Psychiatry experience
- BLS Certification
- Experience working with adults diagnosed with serious mental illness
- Experience obtaining insurance authorizations and coordinating patient care
- Compassionate and patient-centered
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced outpatient environment
- Skilled at de-escalating challenging situations professionally
- A team player who enjoys collaborating with providers and support staff
- Passionate about improving the lives of individuals receiving mental health services
