• Texas Health Alliance is a Baby-friendly and Texas 10-step designated facility.
• 40-bed Postpartum/Newborn, couplet care
• Average between 170 to 200 deliveries per month and increasing volume
• 12-bed NICU/Neonatal ICU
• 4 OB/ED bays
• 14-bed LDR's
• 2 OR suites

• Associate Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• RN
  - Registered Nurse Upon Hire required.
• BCLS
  - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required.
• NRP
  - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 Days of hire.
• CPI
  - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually within 90 Days of hire.
• 1 Year Experience as a clinical nurse or completion of an RN residency program required.
• Mother Baby experience strongly preferred.

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

• Assesses the patient.
• Plans the care of the patient.
• Intervenes as appropriate.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions.
• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information.
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
