Justin 4 – GI GU Surgical Unit

Justin 4 is a 36‑bed surgical unit that will care for colorectal, gastrointestinal, and urology surgery patients. The unit opens with 20 beds on August 10, with plans to expand to 36 beds later in the year. Patients may be admitted pre‑ or post‑operatively, with an average length of stay of approximately five days.

• RN staffing ratio: 1:4
• PCT staffing ratio: 1:12
• Positions require 12‑hour shifts with rotating weekends and holidays. Team members may be placed on call for regularly scheduled shifts in response to census fluctuations.

• Nursing Diploma (required or optional)
• Associate's Degree Nursing (required or optional)
• Bachelor's Degree Nursing (preferred)

• 1 year experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting (required)
• 2 years experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting (preferred)

• RN – Registered Nurse (required upon hire)
• BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly (required)
