Execute mother baby nursing functions in the care of new mothers and their newborns. Assist and support pregnant women in their healthy labor processes. Administer medications and intravenous fluids to mothers. Provide nursing care to newborn babies. Continuously monitor the health of new mothers and their babies.

Mother Baby Patient Population:
Postpartum and Normal Newborn Patient Ratios: 1:3 Couplets typically (could have a mix of 6 patients, i.e. 4 moms, 2 babies) Number of Beds: 50 beds Department Specifics:
Largest number of deliveries in Tarrant County and growing, Maternal Designation Level IV, Magnet, Texas Ten Step, cross train to NICU low risk and GYN, 150+ staff which includes Nurses, Tech, Health Unit Coordinators, Lactation Consultants, and Family Resource.
