Here's What You Need:
Master's Degree Nursing required 2 years' direct patient care experience Required and 5 years of current hospital experience Required Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire BCLS
- Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required CPI
- Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Required Other CNL or other professional nursing certification within 12 Months of hire required SSLP
- Six Sigma Lean Professional Upon Hire Preferred Interpersonal skills, Effective oral and written skills, Collaboration and negotiation skills, and Excellent organizational skills
Collaborates with physicians and/or APRN for services needed as well as all with other allied health care providers Partners with physicians by engaging in rounding to discuss priority of patients and patient care needs Participates in interprofessional rounds, leading when appropriate Collaborates with care transitions team to facilitate discharges, RCB measures, review of excess days and patient throughput Facilitates the development, implementation, monitoring, and assessment of processes that impact patient outcomes Uses benchmark data from internal and external sources to identify opportunities for improvement of care and patient safety Incorporates the quality caring model in daily nursing decisions Participates in shared decision making by participating in councils as requested by nursing leadership
