Role Overview
Full‑time Registered Nurse position in the Cardiac Telemetry Department (25 beds) providing intermediate/telemetry level care for CABG, MVR, TAVR, heart‑failure, post‑operative interventional cardiac care (Stents, Angioplasty, Cardiac Catheter) patients.
ResponsibilitiesSupports patient care in cardiac telemetry; collaborates with interdisciplinary team; ensures compliance with Texas Nurse Practice Act; acts as role model and coordinator for quality patient care.
Qualifications- Graduate of a NLN or CCNE accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
- RNs hired within THR after December 2016 must complete BSN within 2 years of start date.
- Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing.
- Current BCLS & ACLS for Healthcare Providers (AHA) certification.
- One year experience as a clinical nurse or completion of an RN residency program; PCU/Tele experience preferred;
Med/Surg experience considered. - High degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, ability to work in fast‑paced environment.
- Basic computer skills preferred.
Full‑time; 3/12 hr/shifts; 7:00 pm and 7:00 am shifts available; weekends and holidays included.
