Under the supervision of the ACNO, the Manager of Nursing Operations is accountable for the effective and efficient operation of the Surgical Hospital Alliance.

• Apply best practices and evidence‑based knowledge to facilitate optimal patient flow throughout the organization.
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary staff, internal and external to the organization, to achieve favorable patient outcomes.
• Respond to occupancy bed demands throughout the day with action‑oriented steps to maintain acute bed access for patients within the hospital’s delivery system.
• Perform job functions in a manner consistent with the Texas Board of Nursing and in accordance with the hospital’s goals, objectives, policies, procedures and mission.
• Develop and oversee high‑quality, cost‑effective and integrated surgical hospital programs among the nursing areas.
• Ensure efficient and timely throughput throughout the continuum of care.
• Assist the CNO in ensuring delivery of quality patient care while improving standards of care delivery, standards of practice, and fiscal stewardship.
• Exercise leadership and management responsibility over all functions within the management scope, ensuring efficient services designed to meet the needs of patients, physicians, the public, and staff.
• Maintain knowledge of social, economic, legal and regulatory issues that impact the health care delivery system.
• Be accountable for the overall success of day‑to‑day operations within the surgical hospital’s assigned areas, including Med/Surg Inpatient, Pre‑Op/PACU, Surgery, Cath Lab, IR, Radiology, Lab and Pharmacy.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required.
• Master’s degree preferred.

• 3 years management experience required.
• 5 years preferred.

• Current RN license by the State of Texas or from a Compact State, if primary state of residence is in a compact state.
• BLS and ACLS.
