Travel RN In Behavioral Health
This travel position is for an RN in the behavioral health specialty. The unit focuses on adult psychiatric care. The unit consists of 48 beds spread over three sections. There are a mix of staff on both day and night shifts including nurses and mental health technicians. The typical patient ratio is 1 nurse to 10 patients. Equipment utilized includes vital sign machines and a mobilab for lab draws and urine samples.
The unit uses electronic medical records for documentation. There is no on-call requirement. Staff may float to a senior care unit as needed. Key responsibilities include admissions and discharges, ongoing assessments for suicidality and safety. Nurse rounding is performed to ensure patient safety and needs are met. The ideal candidate is team-oriented and willing to meet patients where they are.
The unit offers a culture of safety and teamwork. Safety features include staff duress buttons and onsite security. This is a competitive opportunity within the travel nursing market.
