Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Neuro Hospitalist (Inpatient 7on/7off)

Fort Worth, TX | Full-Time | Hospital-Based

Schedule:

7 Days On / 7 Days Off Salary: $120,000 to $155,000 annually + full benefits

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) to join a collaborative inpatient neurology and stroke service in the Fort Worth, Texas area.

This role provides exposure to a broad range of neurological conditions, including acute stroke, seizures, neurotrauma, and neuromuscular disorders, within a well-established multidisciplinary hospitalist model.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Manage inpatient neurological and stroke patients across ICU and telemetry settings.
  • Conduct neurological exams, interpret imaging and diagnostics, and adjust treatment plans.
  • Participate in code stroke responses and coordinate advanced therapies.
  • Partner with neurosurgery, rehabilitation, and critical care teams to optimize outcomes.
  • Educate patients and families about recovery and discharge planning.
  • Engage in quality improvement and continuing education efforts.
Qualifications
  • Current TX RN license and ACNP certification required
  • BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross)
  • At least 2 years of inpatient NP experience
  • Excellent teamwork and documentation skills

Preferred:

  • Neurology, Neuro-ICU, or Hospitalist background
  • Stroke certification or procedural competency (EEG, LP, etc.)
