Critical Care Nursing Services In Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)

Provide specialized critical care nursing services to adult patients in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). Deliver expert patient care, monitor hemodynamic status, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Administer advanced cardiac and critical care treatments to adult patients in the CVICU.
• Monitor and interpret complex hemodynamic parameters using advanced equipment such as Swan Ganz catheters and CRRT devices.
• Manage invasive lines including central lines, art lines, and chest tubes while maintaining strict aseptic techniques.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Document patient assessments, responses, and interventions accurately in the electronic medical record (Meditech).
• Educate patients and their families on procedures, treatments, and post-discharge care plans.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current RN licensure.
• Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience, preferably in CVICU, adult ICU, or Neuro ICU.
• Ventilator management, arterial/central line, and chest tube experience required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; CCRN preferred.
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and patient-focused skills.
