Full-time, Day shift Department highlights: 22 bed Neuro Surgical Intensive Care Unit, Nurse:
Patient ratio 1:2 Department is three times Beacon Reward Recipient Stroke, MSOF patients, CRRT, Vent-patients and all forms of life support Brain Tumor and Spine program The department prides itself in high performing staff with excellent critical thinking skills Self-Scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team High acuity, high volume department

Qualifications:

Here's What You Need Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred CLIAFE – Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire BCLS – prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly ACLS – within 90 days of hire required CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training – within 90 days of hire NIHSS – within 6 months of hire required 1-year Experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program required ICU preferred - will consider PCU and ED experience In addition to the required qualifications, a successful RN will demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
