Description Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Memory Care

Are you interested in making a difference in the lives of our Nation’s Heroes? Come work with America’s Heroes, where it is our honor to “Serve Those Who Served!”

Our Memory Care CNAs provide hands‑on care and support to veterans experiencing memory loss, confusion, changes in behavior, or difficulty communicating their needs.

What Makes Memory Care Different?

Memory Care requires a special kind of caregiver. We are looking for CNAs who understand that behavior is communication and can provide care with patience, reassurance, consistency, and respect.

Key Qualifications
  • Current Texas CNA certification.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents and nursing staff.
  • Patient, compassionate, dependable, and able to remain calm in challenging situations.
  • Ability to recognize and report changes in a resident’s condition or behavior.
  • Memory Care, dementia care, long‑term care, or geriatric experience preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Provide daily nursing care according to each resident’s assessment and care plan.
  • Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, positioning, and other activities of daily living.
  • Provide reassurance and redirection while maintaining a calm, supportive environment.
  • Observe and promptly report changes in resident condition or behavior.
  • Assist with meals, hydration, activities, and social programs.
  • Follow resident safety protocols and complete required documentation.
  • Protect resident privacy and provide care with kindness, dignity, and respect.
  • Work as part of the care team to provide consistent, resident-centered care.
