Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant – Women's Health & Contraceptive Care

A partnership between Fort Worth and Dallas area nonprofits is launching a contraceptive and family planning service in Tarrant County, and they're hiring the NP or PA who will build it from the first appointment. Grant funding covers the medication, so care is free to every patient regardless of insurance. The patient demand is already there. The provider is the missing piece.

The schedule respects your time: daytime hours only, no evenings, roughly two Saturdays per month, part-time to start with a clear path to full-time as volume grows. You'll practice at the top of your license with real support. A presiding physician provides prescribing oversight remotely, so comfort working independently matters, and full back‑office, scheduling, and intake support means your day is patient care, not operations.

You'll care for a largely uninsured or Medicaid community, primarily Black, Latina, Indigenous, and LGBTQ+ patients, many parenting, some in recovery or survivors of domestic violence. The work asks for clinical skill and a trauma‑informed, non‑judgmental approach in equal measure, treating every patient as the decision‑maker about their own body and timing. One honest note on setting: the clinic is called a "mobile site" only because several organizations share and rotate through the space.

It's a fixed indoor office, not a van or bus.

• Provide long-acting reversible contraception, including hormonal and copper IUDs and the subdermal implant, plus injectable and shorter-acting methods, with counseling across the full range of options.
• Deliver general prenatal care to Medicaid and uninsured patients.
• Conduct assessments, develop care plans, and counsel patients on reproductive and general women's health.
• Manage and respond to side effects and adverse reactions, including those tied to injectable and implanted contraception.
• Document care accurately and on time.
• Work independently on site, coordinating with the presiding physician for prescribing oversight as needed.
• Help shape clinical workflows and protocols as the program launches and grows.

• Active Texas APRN license (NP) or Texas PA license, or clear eligibility to obtain one.
• NP board certification as WHNP or FNP, or PA-C certification.
• Hands-on experience with long-acting reversible contraception.
• You do not need experience with every method, but familiarity placing and managing at least one long-acting option (IUD or subdermal implant) is essential to the role.
• 1+ years of clinical experience.
• This is not a fit for new graduates given the independent, on-site nature of the work.
• Comfortable practicing independently on site, with the presiding physician providing prescribing oversight remotely.
• Comfortable caring for Medicaid, underinsured, and uninsured patients.
• A trauma-informed, non-judgmental approach, and a genuine commitment to expanding contraceptive access and patient autonomy in reproductive health.
• Preferred: WHNP certification, or FNP with extensive women's health experience.
• Prior prenatal care.
• Experience in community health, family planning, an FQHC, or another safety-net setting.
• Bilingual English and Spanish.
• Experience caring for LGBTQ+ patients.
• Interest in program-building over stepping into an established workflow.
• Experience with grant-funded or sliding-scale service delivery.

• $60–75/hour on a W2 basis, uncommon for part-time clinical work.
