Safety Coordinator

Job Purpose

The Safety Coordinator works with the Regional Safety Manager to ensure compliance with safety and environmental procedures and to assist in the achievement/execution of profitability and productivity on jobsites operating out of their office.

• Act as an internal consultant to all company business units with respect to safety.
• Ensure compliance of Clune employees, trade partners, visitors, and vendors with Clune safety guidelines, project requirements, local, state, and national safety regulations.
• Provide safety guidance during the planning stages of projects.
• Attend and contribute to company and project safety meetings.
• Attend outside training for added designations and to stay current with industry changes.
• Serve as a role model professionally for Clune employees, trade partners, visitors, and vendors.
• Assist with incident investigations and mitigate claims by ensuring safety is a priority on projects.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for discussions with staff, trade partners, and executives.
• Strong planning skills to organize weekly and daily schedules involving meetings, walk‑throughs, etc.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate and detailed records.
• Self‑motivated with the ability to prioritize and execute short and long‑term objectives independently.
• Dependable, timely, and prompt resource for project teams.
• Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office suite, iOS applications, etc.).
• Good driving record and reliable transportation for project visits.
• Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands, talk, hear, climb stairs/ladders, and walk on uneven ground as required by duties.

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field; or equivalent combination of 1–3 years education and experience.
• OSHA 30‑hour certification (preferred).
• Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local safety standards.
