The Inspection Technician Associate supports the Quality organization by performing inspection and quality testing of products within a regulated medical device manufacturing environment. This role focuses primarily on receiving inspection, ensuring purchased parts, assemblies, and materials meet engineering specifications and quality standards before being released into inventory.
The ideal candidate brings hands‑on inspection or quality experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to interpret technical documentation such as blueprints and drawings.
Key Responsibilities- Perform receiving inspections on purchased parts, assemblies, hardware, materials, and special processes in accordance with established AQL standards.
- Interpret and apply engineering documentation, including:
Blueprints, Drawings and sketches, Specifications, Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T). - Examine incoming materials for defects, workmanship issues, or damage incurred during transit.
- Verify part numbers, quantities, and documentation against purchase orders and specifications to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) as required.
- Conduct standardized tests per SOPs and approved test methods.
- Support equipment validation activities (IQ/OQ) under guidance.
- Accurately document inspection results, test data, and findings in accordance with quality and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain organized records and support audits and quality reviews as needed.
- Support general laboratory activities, including equipment setup, upkeep, and organization.
- Collaborate with engineers, quality staff, and cross-functional teams to support investigations, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist with drafting test protocols, reports, and standard operating procedures as required.
- Ensure compliance with established and evolving Quality System (QS) requirements.
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in manufacturing inspection, testing, or quality.
- Ability to fluently read, write, and communicate in English.
- Ability to follow SOPs and work accurately in a regulated environment.
- Willingness to wear required PPE:
Steel-toe footwear (not provided), Safety glasses (provided).
