About the Role

The Food Safety & Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for coordinating and managing food safety, sanitation, pest control, and quality assurance programs across Topgolf venues. This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards while driving continuous improvement and protecting the guest experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Safety & Compliance – Oversee food safety, sanitation, and pest control programs to ensure regulatory compliance and brand standards; investigate incidents; support adherence to FDA Food Code, HACCP, FSMA, and local health regulations.
  • Audit & Program Management – Manage third‑party food safety audit program, including auditor calibration, dispute resolution, audit result communication, trend identification and improvement opportunities.
  • Technical Expertise & Support – Provide subject‑matter expertise to Operations, Culinary, and F&B teams; assist with HACCP plan development and recipe risk assessments; support product recall communication systems.
  • Supply Chain & Vendor Oversight – Develop and maintain food safety and quality assurance programs for suppliers and distributors; partner with Global Supply Chain and F&B teams to ensure vendor compliance.
  • Nutrition & Allergen Management – Collaborate with Culinary and Marketing to manage nutrition and allergen analysis for menu items; ensure accurate and compliant communication of allergen information.
  • Process Improvement & Data Analysis – Leverage technology to track KPIs, analyze trends, risks, and opportunities; drive continuous improvement initiatives across food safety and quality programs.
  • Training & Culture – Promote a strong food safety culture; provide coaching and feedback to operational leadership; support education and training initiatives to reinforce compliance and best practices.
  • Regulatory & Industry Engagement – Maintain relationships with regulatory agencies, industry associations, and academic partners; stay informed on emerging food safety trends and regulatory changes.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in food safety, public health, or quality assurance within a multi‑unit restaurant, retail, or hospitality organization.
  • ANSI‑accredited Food Protection Manager certification (e.g., Serv Safe or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of FDA Food Code, HACCP principles, foodborne illness risk factors, and sanitation practices.
  • 5+ years of experience conducting food safety audits in restaurant or retail food service environments.
  • Ability to coach, influence, and communicate effectively with all levels of leadership.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using data to drive decisions and improvements.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
