Location:
Southwest Kitchen – Ft. Worth, TX 76155. Salary Range: $55,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year.
The HACCP & Food Safety Administrator is responsible for monitoring and reducing non‑compliance issues, maintaining HACCP and food safety records, and coordinating with auditors, pest control, and inspectors. The role requires cross‑training across QA functions, overseeing pathogen testing, inventory of testing supplies, and communicating updates to plant management and QA staff.
What you will do- Make decisions regarding food safety or HACCP issues.
- Review, maintain HACCP and food safety plan records and issue deviations.
- Perform QAT technician duties and hold certifications for FSIS HACCP and FDA critical points.
- Maintain and analyze pathogen testing results per the Microbiological Sampling Plan.
- Ensure documentation and testing meet regulatory requirements.
- Inventory and manage supplies for food safety testing programs.
- Package and ship product samples for testing and train designated personnel.
- Communicate with inspectors on food safety issues, including non‑compliance reports.
- Coordinate with plant management and QA employees to update procedures and HACCP plan.
- Participate in GMP audits and support training for GMP, SSOP, and HACCP.
- Coach the Food Safety Team and distribute meeting minutes to management.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by QA management.
- Bachelor's science degree in Food Science preferred.
- 2‑3 years of comparable experience in the food industry.
- Professional certification in HACCP and PCQI.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work quickly in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong MS Excel and Word skills.
- Comfortable working in an open, collaborative environment.
- Ability to work flexible hours, weekends, and in chilled conditions below 40°F.
- High standards of ethics, integrity, and honesty.
