We are looking for a Technical Library Specialist to report to the Quality Director. The role includes procurement, maintenance and revision of maintenance documents and managing the internal distribution of technical data from OEM, customers and authorities. The Specialist will ensure that maintenance and repair work meets the required standards set forth in the Repair Station Quality Manual, coordinate functions of the Quality Department, conduct internal quality audits, perform historical and AD/SB research for customer engines, support IT systems for document management, coordinate cross‑location documentation issues, develop process key figures and indicators, plan demand‑oriented training and qualification measures, and coordinate technical libraries across MTU Dallas and other MTU locations.
Additional duties will be assigned by the Quality Director as needed.
- High School graduate or equivalent, or possession of a valid A&P license and recent aviation maintenance experience.
- 2+ years of relevant experience in aviation technical publications, records management, quality assurance, and compliance.
- Knowledge of Part 43, Part 121 and Part 145 regulations, FAA guidelines and airworthiness standards.
- Strong technical writing skills with the ability to maintain and update various manuals and programs.
- Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills in working and communicating effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Problem‑solving mindset and a proactive, creative approach to challenges.
- Independent execution of projects in the subject area.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, web applications and general technical data, including ESM, AMM and SBs.
- Ability to read, speak, write legibly and understand the English language.
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer, and the ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
