Operations Quality Supervisor - Off Shift (8:00pm to 5:00am)
We’re looking for a detail‑oriented Operations Quality Supervisor to join our off‑shift team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the quality of internally molded and purchased parts; create, audit, implement quality systems, and oversee departmental employees in quality‑related matters. You will oversee and monitor the inspection and testing of parts and products to ensure adherence to established quality standards, establish inspection protocols, aid in defining sampling procedures, and determine equipment and mechanisms to be used in the testing process.
You will also assist with formulating and revising quality control policies and procedures.
- Ownership of the First Shot Approval Process and adherence to requirements
- Weekly review and disposition of parts on quality hold (scrap or use)
- Review conducted with either Molding QE or Supplier QE
- Collaborate with Molding QE to ensure Molding QC Tech is available to support the Test Run Evaluation Process
- Assist QC Specialist with developing and maintaining Standard Process Instructions for the Operations Quality Team
- Assist Molding QE (internally molded parts) and Supplier QE (purchased parts) with establishing and enforcing AQL Sampling Plans
- Collaborate with Molding QE and Supplier QE on creating and communicating deviations
- Ensure daily QC checks are completed in accordance with documented procedures
- Supervise employees working across 3 shifts; expect to see all employees at least once every two weeks
- Strong organization and communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret part drawings
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office software
- Detail oriented with the ability to adapt to changes quickly
- Critical thinking and problem‑solving skills
- Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university preferred
- Minimum 3 years of related experience preferred
- General knowledge of industry standards
