QA Specialist / Manager
At Danone, Manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for our plant teams. We are currently looking to hire a Quality Lab Tech based in Fort Worth, TX.
Responsibilities- Operate and maintain analytical bench test equipment; e.g. Rheomat, pH meter, etc.
- Certify and execute micro plating; e.g. EB, Coliform, etc.
- Execute environmental testing; e.g. swabs, air testing, water testing, etc.
- Organize culture received.
- Execute proficiency tests with a passing grade.
- Conduct line inspections/clearances – e.g. Pre‑op, Allergen Line Clearances, etc.
- Conduct ELISA testing for product validations.
- Analyze and test products on hold.
- Support specialists with lab supply call‑outs and stocking.
- Support projects for audit compliance – e.g. glass audit, WISE audit.
- Support and drive quality improvement in the lab.
- Ensure compliance to Danone and regulatory quality systems schemas; e.g. FSSC 22000, PrP, TDH/FDA, Danone Audits.
- Support quality systems: e.g. the plant ISO and HACCP initiatives.
- Develop quality SOPs and ensure QARs are followed up as it relates to materials.
- Perform analysis according to plan of control, document findings, analyze trends and assemble quality action plans.
- Train operational teams on quality related topics such as GMP, quick hits and support the development of SOPs and OPL and ensure quality action reports are followed up.
- Support innovation/renovation plant trials related to materials.

About you- Bachelor’s degree in food science, microbiology, or equivalent is preferred.
- 1–3 years experience in the dairy/food/beverage manufacturing industry, including supervisory experience.
- Proven ability to establish, optimize and maintain a world‑class quality system and team.
- Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to influence others and be a team player.
- Ability to develop/implement core work practices and standards that ensure excellence in quality.
- Ability to rapidly assess, analyze, and quickly resolve complicated quality problems with little initial information or direction and with varying degrees of ambiguity.
- Ability to multitask and manage priorities, allocating time to long‑term quality continuous improvement projects.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong self‑management skills and comfortable working with minimal supervision.
- Established project management skills; lead, interact with various levels of plant and corporate personnel and influence others.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules to support 7‑day per week, 24‑hour production facilities. Schedules could include occasional off‑shift or weekend work.
