Role OverviewThe QA/QC Coordinator is responsible for planning, governing, and monitoring quality processes across multiple projects, ensuring that quality standards, documentation systems, and compliance processes are consistently implemented. This role supports and audits field execution, ensuring alignment with company standards and project requirements, and serves as a primary quality communication point with project stakeholders.
Core Responsibilities- Develop and implement project-specific QA plans and quality strategies.
- Schedule and oversee inspections and testing processes to ensure compliance.
- Govern QA/QC documentation standards and ensure consistency across projects.
- Conduct quality audits and report findings, trends, and risks to leadership.
- Communicate regularly with project stakeholders to provide updates and resolve issues.
- Train project teams on QA/QC protocols, compliance expectations, and best practices.
- Monitor quality performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.
- Support field teams by providing guidance rather than direct installation oversight.
- Identify areas for improvement in quality processes and implement changes to enhance project outcomes.
- Oversee and coordinate daily quality inspection and testing activities.
- Manage documentation related to QA/QC processes.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship, as sponsorship is not available for this position.
- 7+ yearsof experience on commercial mechanical or plumbing construction projects, including healthcare, medical gas, educational, institutional, and military facilities.
- 4+ years of experience with QA/QC systems, documentation, and compliance.
- 4+ years of experience working with project Testing, Balancing, and Commissioning teams.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Positive attitude, self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Startup and commissioning of projects ranging in size and scope from $25M+ preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
