Early Career Quality Engineer
Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking an early career engineer to focus on work product quality and continual assessment of manufacturing product and process yield. The successful candidate will apply statistical methods and preventive actions to identify and control sources of variation that affect quality, cost, and schedule targets.
Responsibilities- Conduct and coordinate process and product evaluations and assessments.
- Validate key process capability and perform quality and cost data analysis.
- Lead root cause analysis, corrective and preventive action investigations, and variation management actions.
- Integrate supplier quality tasks and develop area improvement strategies and plans.
- Deliver effective methods and initiatives that reduce area defects, scrap, rework, and repair costs as measured by the quality diagnostic measurement system.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to assure compliance and continuous improvement.
Basic qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM or business discipline.
- At least 1 year of related experience.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills.
Desired skills:
- Experience using quality science tools such as PDCA, cause maps, fishbone diagrams, etc.
- Programming and data visualization experience with Tableau, Python, VBA, or similar.
- Experience performing root cause and corrective action investigations.
- Strong communication skills at all organizational levels and with customers.
- High energy, self‑starting, team player who achieves goals.
Must be a U.S. citizen and obtain a government security clearance (Secret).
