Our client is seeking a QA Manager to lead all Quality Assurance functions within a high‑volume electronics manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality systems that ensure compliance with customer requirements, industry standards, and internal operational objectives. The QA Manager partners closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and customers to drive continuous improvement, enhance product reliability, and support operational excellence.

Responsibilities:
Quality Management Systems (QMS)
  • Promote a strong quality culture across the organization.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with internal, customer, and external certification audits.
  • Develop and maintain quality policies, procedures, work instructions, and process controls.
  • Lead and maintain the site's QMS in alignment with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, TL9000, and customer requirements.
Quality Operations
  • Analyze quality trends and implement improvement plans to meet operational goals.
  • Monitor and improve key quality metrics including FPY, DPPM, COQ, customer returns, and corrective action closure rates.
  • Oversee Incoming Quality Control (IQC), In‑Process Quality Control (IPQC), Outgoing Quality Control (OQC), and Quality Engineering teams.
Customer Quality
  • Manage customer audits, assessments, and quality reviews.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for customer quality issues.
  • Build strong customer relationships to ensure quality expectations are met.
  • Lead structured investigations and corrective actions for customer complaints.
Continuous Improvement
  • Drive CAPA programs and Lean/Six Sigma initiatives.
  • Lead root‑cause analysis using 8D, Fishbone, 5 Why, PFMEA/DFMEA, and SPC.
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams to reduce defects and improve manufacturing efficiency.
Supplier Quality
  • Monitor supplier quality metrics and corrective actions.
  • Participate in supplier audits, qualification activities, and performance reviews.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain and Supplier Quality teams to improve supplier performance.
Leadership & Team Development
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage and develop Quality Engineers, Supervisors, Technicians, and Inspectors.
  • Set performance goals, conduct evaluations, and provide coaching and mentorship.
New Product Introduction (NPI)
  • Ensure quality controls are established during product launches.
  • Support NPI activities from design transfer through mass production.
  • Participate in process validation, qualification, and readiness reviews.
Qualifications (Must-Haves)
  • 3+ years of management or supervisory experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Minitab, ERP systems, and quality reporting tools.
  • Experience managing customer audits, quality metrics, and cross‑functional quality initiatives.
  • 7+ years of progressive quality experience in electronics manufacturing, EMS, or contract manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of quality methodologies: 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, PFMEA/DFMEA, SPC, CAPA, Lean, Six Sigma.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Management, or related field.
Preferred

Skills:
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.
  • ASQ CQE, CMQ/OE, or equivalent certification.
  • Experience supporting large enterprise technology customers.
  • Familiarity with IPC standards, ESD controls, and electronics assembly quality requirements.
  • Background in telecommunications, networking, AI servers, data centers, cloud computing, or electronics manufacturing.
Working Conditions:
