The Quality Specialist serves as the site-level quality leader responsible for maintaining and improving the Quality Management System, ensuring product quality, and supporting compliance with customer, regulatory, and certification requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead site-level Quality Management System activities.
  • Manage nonconforming material, corrective actions, root cause investigations, document control, calibration, and quality records.
  • Oversee receiving, in-process, final, and first article inspection activities.
  • Coordinate internal, customer, and certification audits.
  • Track audit findings and corrective actions through completion.
  • Monitor and report quality objectives, metrics, trends, and recurring issues.
  • Support product release by verifying inspection, testing, and documentation requirements.
  • Train employees on quality procedures, inspection requirements, and QMS processes.
  • Maintain records required by applicable standards, certifications, and customer requirements.
  • Support supplier quality issues and corrective actions.
  • Participate in new product introductions, process changes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with operations, engineering, and leadership to resolve quality concerns.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in quality, engineering, manufacturing, business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least five years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working within an ISO 9001-certified quality system.
  • Experience with audits, non-conformance management, corrective actions, calibration, inspection, and quality documentation.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing quality systems and inspection practices.
  • Ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Ability to analyze quality data, trends, and performance metrics.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP or quality management systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across departments.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • High level of accuracy, judgment, and attention to detail.
Requirements Qualifications
