What you’ll do
  • Oversee the development and execution of comprehensive quality assurance strategies to ensure product excellence.
  • Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers and testers, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages professional growth.
  • Design and implement testing protocols, including automated and manual testing processes, to validate product functionality and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and customer support, to identify quality issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Analyze test results and provide actionable insights to stakeholders, ensuring timely communication of quality metrics and project status.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to quality assurance processes, including test plans, test cases, and defect reports.
  • Conduct regular audits of QA processes and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and lead initiatives to enhance the overall quality assurance framework.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to incorporate innovative testing practices into the QA process.
  • Facilitate training sessions for team members on quality assurance methodologies and tools to elevate the team's skill set.
  • Manage the budget for the QA department, ensuring efficient allocation of resources for testing activities.
  • Participate in product design reviews to provide input on quality considerations and potential risks early in the development cycle.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Proven track record of leading QA teams and managing complex testing projects.
  • Strong knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and quality assurance methodologies.
  • Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, JUnit, or similar technologies.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies, with experience in implementing QA processes in an Agile environment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in using project management and bug tracking tools, such as JIRA or Trello.
Nice to have
  • Certification in quality assurance or testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) is a plus.
  • Experience with performance testing tools, such as Load Runner or JMeter.
  • Knowledge of security testing practices and tools.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based testing environments and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience in industries such as healthcare, finance, or e-commerce is advantageous.
Skills & tools
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficient in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
  • Expertise in test automation frameworks and tools.
  • Familiarity with database management and SQL for backend testing.
  • Knowledge of version control systems, such as Git.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
