- Oversee the development and execution of comprehensive quality assurance strategies to ensure product excellence.
- Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers and testers, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages professional growth.
- Design and implement testing protocols, including automated and manual testing processes, to validate product functionality and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and customer support, to identify quality issues and implement effective solutions.
- Analyze test results and provide actionable insights to stakeholders, ensuring timely communication of quality metrics and project status.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to quality assurance processes, including test plans, test cases, and defect reports.
- Conduct regular audits of QA processes and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Identify areas for process improvement and lead initiatives to enhance the overall quality assurance framework.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to incorporate innovative testing practices into the QA process.
- Facilitate training sessions for team members on quality assurance methodologies and tools to elevate the team's skill set.
- Manage the budget for the QA department, ensuring efficient allocation of resources for testing activities.
- Participate in product design reviews to provide input on quality considerations and potential risks early in the development cycle.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Proven track record of leading QA teams and managing complex testing projects.
- Strong knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and quality assurance methodologies.
- Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, JUnit, or similar technologies.
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies, with experience in implementing QA processes in an Agile environment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in using project management and bug tracking tools, such as JIRA or Trello.
- Certification in quality assurance or testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) is a plus.
- Experience with performance testing tools, such as Load Runner or JMeter.
- Knowledge of security testing practices and tools.
- Familiarity with cloud-based testing environments and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience in industries such as healthcare, finance, or e-commerce is advantageous.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficient in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
- Expertise in test automation frameworks and tools.
- Familiarity with database management and SQL for backend testing.
- Knowledge of version control systems, such as Git.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- This position is based in Fort Worth, Texas, and may require occasional travel for team meetings or client engagements.
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is available for qualified applicants.
- The role may involve working outside of standard business hours during critical project phases or product launches.
