Overview
Republic DFW is seeking a Quality Technician / QC Inspector to support manufacturing, welding, pipe fabrication, structural fabrication, and industrial equipment production. This role supports production teams by inspecting fabricated components, verifying dimensions, maintaining inspection documentation, and helping ensure work meets engineering and quality standards.
Responsibilities- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of fabricated materials and components.
- Verify dimensions using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, tape measures, and other precision tools.
- Inspect fabricated parts against drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and work specifications.
- Conduct visual inspection of welds, fabricated assemblies, pipe, and structural components.
- Maintain inspection reports, quality documentation, traceability records, and NCR support documents.
- Assist with corrective actions, quality audits, calibration control, and process improvement.
- Communicate quality issues to supervisors, production teams, and shop leadership.
- 2-5 years manufacturing quality control, fabrication inspection, welding inspection, or machining inspection experience preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints, measurements, GD&T, and shop drawings.
- Experience with precision measuring tools and inspection documentation.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, NCRs, root cause analysis, or welding/fabrication quality is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
- Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing or fabrication environment.
