Aircraft Quality Inspector A&P IA - Rotorcraft
Location: Fort Worth, TX
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
About the OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced Aircraft Quality Inspector with a current FAA A&P certificate to support aircraft maintenance, inspection, repair, alteration, and return-to-service activities in a professional rotorcraft environment.
This is a hands‑on opportunity for an experienced A&P mechanic, aircraft inspector, or quality professional with strong FAA regulatory and aircraft inspection knowledge.
Key Responsibilities- Perform hands‑on inspections of aircraft maintenance, repairs, alterations, and installations.
- Verify aircraft are safe, compliant, and ready for return to service.
- Review maintenance records, technical data, drawings, specifications, and manufacturer documentation.
- Identify discrepancies, defects, and quality or safety concerns.
- Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and applicable airworthiness requirements.
- Perform and document inspections involving major repairs, alterations, FAA Form 337, weight and balance, and field approvals.
- Work with maintenance teams to resolve inspection findings and reduce rework and maintenance delays.
- Maintain accurate inspection, maintenance, parts traceability, and calibration records.
- Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant A&P certificate held for at least 3 years.
- 7 or more years of aircraft maintenance, inspection, repair, alteration, or quality experience.
- Strong knowledge of FAA regulations including 14 CFR Parts 43, 91, and 145.
- Experience with FAA Form 337, major repairs and alterations, weight and balance, and airworthiness requirements.
- Ability to read aircraft drawings, blueprints, specifications, and technical data.
- Strong inspection, troubleshooting, documentation, and quality control skills.
- Strong communication, attention to detail, and independent decision‑making skills.
- Inspection Authorization IA certification or ability to obtain IA within 90 to 180 days.
- Civilian rotorcraft or helicopter maintenance experience.
- Previous experience as an Aircraft Inspector, Quality Inspector, Lead A&P, or Maintenance Inspector.
- Full‑time Monday to Friday schedule.
- Hands‑on role in a professional rotorcraft aviation environment.
