Job Overview

Alcon is the global leader in eye care. We are seeking a versatile and pragmatic UX Researcher to support the development of digital health products by translating user behavior, research findings, and product analytics into actionable insights. This role focuses on hands‑on research execution, cross‑functional collaboration, and delivering clear, structured recommendations that directly inform product decisions.

Plan and execute end‑to‑end UX research across the product lifecycle, from discovery to validation. Apply a mix of qualitative and quantitative methods (interviews, usability testing, surveys, analytics review). Analyze user behavior and product performance data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities. Translate research findings and analytics into clear, actionable recommendations for Product, Design, and Engineering teams. Synthesize complex information into simple, structured, and easy‑to‑consume outputs for stakeholders.

Collaborate cross‑functionally to inform product decisions and prioritization. Contribute to improving research workflows, templates, and best practices within a growing UX practice. Support iterative product development through continuous feedback and validation. Explore and apply AI tools or emerging technologies to improve research efficiency and insight generation.

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +13 yrs; assoc.+9 yrs; M.S.+2 yrs; PhD+0 yrs).
• Fluent in English (read, write, understand, and communicate).
• 5+ years of relevant experience in UX Research, Product Research, or a related field.
• Strong generalist skill set across qualitative and quantitative research methods.
• Ability to translate data into practical, tactical product recommendations.
• Strong communication and storytelling skills with a focus on clarity and structure.
• Experience working in cross‑functional product teams.
• Ability to operate effectively in fast‑paced and ambiguous environments.

• Experience in healthcare, medical devices, or ophthalmology.
• Experience with UX research and product tools such as Dovetail, Maze, Airtable, or similar platforms.
• Experience leveraging AI tools for research synthesis or analysis.
• Experience with product analytics or behavioral data (usage metrics, funnels, engagement data).
